1. Operation Principle
The Thermostatic Wax that has been sealed in shell body induces expansion by a given temperature, and inner rubber seal part drives its handspike to move under expansion pressure to realize a transition from thermal energy into mechanical energy. The Thermostatic Wax brings an upward movement to its handspike, and automatic control of various function are realized by use of upward movement of handspike. The return of handspike is accomplished by negative load in a given returned temperature.

3.Main Technical Parameters

(4)Lag phenomenon is generally 1 ~ 2℃. Friction of each component part and lag of the component part temperature cause a lag phenomenon. Because there is a difference between up and down curve of traveling distance.

The SR series stage is a compact, small footprint, open type positioning stage. The ironless core coil assembly has no magnetic attractive force to the stationary magnet assembly which increases life of the bearing system. The low overall weight of the stage makes it ideal as a Y axis (top axis) in a multi-axis system. The lower moving mass of the stage allows for higher accelerations of light payloads.
The stage is driven by a vacuum compatible 3-phase brushless linear motor and is guided by a pair of vacuum compatible precision recirculating linear ball bearings. All materials and hardware have been carefully selected to ensure low outgassing for vacuum applications. The stage has a 24″ [610 mm] stroke, generates 20 lbs [89 N] of continuous force and 60 lbs [267 N] of peak force. It includes a 1 micron resolution linear encoder. SR series positioning stages are ideal for long stroke applications that require high speed, high acceleration moves with fast settling times.

[Problems of the air cylinder used]
1: They were dispensing the adhesive by using the air cylinder. The dispensing rate was changed because the air pressure was unstable and the adhesive was interrupted or lumped.
2: The viscosity of the adhesive changes under the conditions such as temperature, so that it took time to adjust the dispensing pressure.
3: Defective parts were made when the adhesive that attached to the work parts formed adhesive strings that weren’t cut off after dispensing.
[Benefits of the electric actuator]
The 45 seconds cycle time has been reduced to 30 seconds because the amount of adhesive dispensed always stayed stable.
This enabled the supply of adhesive to be stable all day after trial testing each morning.
The failure rate due to adhesive dispensing reduced to almost zero from about 10 pieces a day since they set movement to cut clean the dispensed adhesive.
This movement was of the electric actuator in the vertical direction and the slide table.
