Factory directly provide TU-1H01 thermal wax actuator for industrial thermostatic water regulations mixing valve to Pretoria Factories Detail:

1. Operation Principle

The Thermostatic Wax that has been sealed in shell body induces expansion by a given temperature, and inner rubber seal part drives its handspike to move under expansion pressure to realize a transition from thermal energy into mechanical energy. The Thermostatic Wax brings an upward movement to its handspike, and automatic control of various function are realized by use of upward movement of handspike. The return of handspike is accomplished by negative load in a given returned temperature.

2. Characteristic

(1)Small body size, occupied limited space, and its size and structure may be designed in according to the location where needs to work.

(2)Temperature control is reliable and nicety

(3)No shaking and tranquilization in working condition.

(4)The element doesn’t need special maintenance.

(5)Working life is long.

3.Main Technical Parameters

(1)Handspike’s height may be confirmed by drawing and technical parameters

(2)Handspike movement is relatives to the temperature range of the element, and the effective distance range is from 1.5mm to 20 mm.

(3)Temperature control range of thermal wax actuator is between –20 ~ 230℃.

(4)Lag phenomenon is generally 1 ~ 2℃. Friction of each component part and lag of the component part temperature cause a lag phenomenon. Because there is a difference between up and down curve of traveling distance.

(5)Loading force of thermal wax actuator is difference, it depends on its’ shell size.

  • Panasonic, together with the Belgium-based research institution IMEC, has developed a DNA testing chip that automates all stages of obtaining genetic information, including preprocessing.

This development is expected to enable personalized, tailor-made therapy to become widespread.

“This is the chip we’ve actually developed. As you can see, it’s less than half the size of a business card. It contains everything needed for testing DNA. Once a drop of blood is inserted, the chip completes the entire process, up to SNP detection.”

SNPs are variations in a single DNA base among individuals.

Detecting SNPs makes it possible to check whether genetically transmitted diseases are present, evaluate future risks, and identify genes related to illness.

“By investigating SNPs, we can determine that this drug will work for this person, or this drug will have severe side-effects on that person. Investigating SNPs enables tailor-made therapy. But with the current method, it has to be done in a specialized lab, so it actually takes three to four days. In the worst case, it takes a week from sending the sample to getting the result. Our equipment can determine a patient’s SNPs in just an hour after receiving the blood.”

Testing is done simply by injecting the blood and a chemical into the chip, and setting it in the testing system.

First of all, the blood and chemical are mixed. DNA is then extracted from the mixed solution. The regions containing SNPs are then cut out and amplified. DNA amplification uses technology called PCR, which cuts out the desired sections by varying the temperature. With the conventional method, this process took two hours.

“Through careful attention to thermal separation design, we’ve achieved high-speed PCR, where 30 temperature cycles are completed in nine minutes. We think this is one of the fastest PCR systems in the world.”

The amplified DNA is then sent through a micropump to a DNA filter. Here, the DNA is separated for each section length. Then, a newly developed electrochemical sensor identifies SNPs while the DNA is dissolved in the chemical.

“To implement this system on one chip, and make detection easy, the first thing we focused on was the actuators. This system requires a very small, powerful pump. In our case, we used a conductive polymer for the actuators. A feature of these actuators is they’re powerful, yet extremely compact. They can exert a pressure of up to 30MPa.”

“Ultimately, we’d like to make this system battery-powered. We think that would enable genetically modified foods to be tested while still in the warehouse.”

If your vehicle is equipped with automatic climate controls, this is your control panel. It is made up of two multifunction controls and several buttons. The two outer controls consist of a center button and an outer ring that works like a dial. If your vehicle is equipped with a different climate control system, see your Owner’s Manual for additional information.

The Auto mode may be used all year round. To turn it ON, press this button for automatic cooling or dehumidified heating. The indicator light illuminates when the system is activated. It will automatically regulate and maintain fan speed, airflow and temperature in the cabin. The Auto mode can be turned OFF by changing the fan speed, or by pressing the DEFROST or MODE button.

Your vehicle has separate temperature controls for the driver and front seat passenger. The driver’s TEMPERATURE CONTROL dial, on the left, will set the temperature for both the driver and passenger if the DUAL button is not activated. Turn the outside ring of the driver’s side control. You’ll see the temperature setting change on the center display as you turn the ring left for cooler, or right for warmer air.

If you want to adjust the passenger side temperature independently from the driver’s side, press the DUAL button, or turn the passenger side TEMPERATURE CONTROL dial. The DUAL indicator light will illuminate. Turn the dial left for cooler, or right for warmer air. The passenger’s side temperature will be displayed. To switch back to driver control, press the DUAL button again. If in Dual mode when you turn your system OFF, using the OFF button, it will resume Dual operation when turned back ON using the AUTO button.

The MODE button provides a choice of airflow outlets. Press the MODE button repeatedly to select from the following:
    ● Air will flow from center and side vents,
    ● Air will flow from center and side vents, and foot outlets,
    ● Air will flow mainly from foot outlets,
    ● Air will flow from the defroster and foot outlets, or
    ● Air will flow from the defroster outlets.

Press the A/C button to turn the air conditioning ON or OFF.

In hot or humid conditions, a visible mist may be seen coming from the vents. This does not indicate a malfunction.

To defrost or defog front and side windows, press the FRONT WINDOW DEFROST button. The indicator light will illuminate. airflow will be directed to the front and side windows. The A/C automatically activates when the Defrost mode is selected and the outside temperature is above 36 degrees. This helps dehumidify the cabin and clear the windshield faster. Turn the driver’s side temperature to a setting that will best meet weather conditions. For windshield deicing, the temperature selector should be turned to maximum heat. Also, using the manual fan control, turn the fan speed to high.

If your vehicle happens to be in Dual mode, turning ON the defroster will automatically revert to driver control, allowing both sides of the windshield to defrost evenly. After the windshield is cleared, press the AUTO button to return to your previous settings.

To defrost or defog the rear window and, if so equipped, the outside mirrors, press the REAR WINDOW DEFROST button. The indicator light will illuminate. After defrosting, press to turn OFF. If not turned OFF manually, this feature will automatically deactivate in a period of time.

To recirculate air inside your vehicle, press this AIR RECIRCULATION button, its indicator will light up. This helps A/C efficiency and helps block outside odors from entering the cabin. You will only be able to activate the air recirculation feature when non-defroster airflow settings are selected. Press the FRESH AIR INTAKE button to allow outside air to be drawn into your vehicle. Please be aware that while in defrost modes, the air recirculation feature will not activate. Allowing outside air to enter the vehicle further improves defogging performance.

Press the fan control buttons to manually control fan speed. To turn the system OFF, press the OFF button.

There is a temperature sensor located on top of the dashboard, near the windshield, that helps regulate the automatic climate control settings. Please keep this area clear of papers and other materials.

Please see your Owner’s Manual for important safety information, system limitations and additional operating information.
