1. Operation Principle

The Thermostatic Wax that has been sealed in shell body induces expansion by a given temperature, and inner rubber seal part drives its handspike to move under expansion pressure to realize a transition from thermal energy into mechanical energy. The Thermostatic Wax brings an upward movement to its handspike, and automatic control of various function are realized by use of upward movement of handspike. The return of handspike is accomplished by negative load in a given returned temperature.

2. Characteristic

(1)Small body size, occupied limited space, and its size and structure may be designed in according to the location where needs to work.

(2)Temperature control is reliable and nicety

(3)No shaking and tranquilization in working condition.

(4)The element doesn’t need special maintenance.

(5)Working life is long.

3.Main Technical Parameters

(1)Handspike’s height may be confirmed by drawing and technical parameters

(2)Handspike movement is relatives to the temperature range of the element, and the effective distance range is from 1.5mm to 20 mm.

(3)Temperature control range of thermal wax actuator is between –20 ~ 230℃.

(4)Lag phenomenon is generally 1 ~ 2℃. Friction of each component part and lag of the component part temperature cause a lag phenomenon. Because there is a difference between up and down curve of traveling distance.

(5)Loading force of thermal wax actuator is difference, it depends on its’ shell size.

Increased Cooling Capacity. Excess heat will kill your engine. The factory cooling fan on your 1979 to 1993 Fox Mustang is enough to cool the stock 5.0-liter motor but not much else. After installing aftermarket mods to increase engine performance, the stock cooling system will need an overhaul in order to keep up with any extra horsepower. This Mishimoto Dual High Flow 12-inch Fans with Aluminum Shroud fits both the a Ford stock or Mishimoto aftermarket radiator and is rated at 2300 CFM. Couple this with an automatic fan controller, and keeping your Fox cool will be a worry free affair.
Slim Design. The Mishimoto Dual High Flow Fans feature a slim design that frees up some space in the engine bay. The dual high-flow 12-inch fans come pre-assembled with an aluminum radiator shroud that dissipates heat much quicker and more efficiently in addition to accurately directing the airflow over the engine. Best of all, you might feel a gain in horsepower since this dual high flow fan is electrically powered as opposed to the factory fan that is powered by the engine via the serpentine belt.
Bolt-on Installation. The aluminum shroud is designed to bolt directly to the factory installation points. It is important to point out that since these fans are electrically-powered, some wiring is required to complete the installation.
Recommended Upgrades. If changing the mechanical fan to an electric unit such as this Mishimoto Dual High Flow Fan setup, you will likely need to upgrade the charging system as well in order to cope with the added electrical load. A 3G alternator conversion is easy to do and will offer more than enough juice to keep the fans going.

Changing the fan speed or air flow mode turns off the AUTO function and switches the system to manual control. To reactivate automatic control, press the AUTO button.

Your vehicle has separate temperature control buttons for the driver and front seat passenger. Press this button to set a lower temperature or this button to set a warmer temperature.

If you use the passenger’s side temperature control buttons, the passenger’s side temperature will be adjusted independently of the driver’s side and the DUAL control indicator light will illuminate.

If the DUAL mode is not active, the driver’s temperature control buttons set the temperature for both the driver and passenger.
