Today on our boat trailer, we're going to be installing the Demco hydraulic trailer brake actuator, part number 8605001. To begin an install, we'll first need to remove the old or manufacturer's actuator and coupler. To do that remove the 2 bolts that secure it to the frame of the trailer, then we'll disconnect the hydraulic line. Here's our new coupler and actuator, the back side there's a cap covering up the master cylinder and a threaded adapter. Go ahead and make sure the adapter is tight first. DVA Test: The VLA will include an integrated dynamic visual acuity (DVA) tester.
Safety System: To ensure that an uncontrolled fall does not occur, a triple redundant safety scheme utilizing long travel impact bumpers, rail brakes, and dynamic braking is being implemented.
Completion: DSM plans to have the VLA completed Spring 2011
