2 Years’ Warranty for TU-1F93 thermal wax actuator for thermostatic automatic water drain valve Supply to Georgia Detail:

1. Operation Principle

The Thermostatic Wax that has been sealed in shell body induces expansion by a given temperature, and inner rubber seal part drives its handspike to move under expansion pressure to realize a transition from thermal energy into mechanical energy. The Thermostatic Wax brings an upward movement to its handspike, and automatic control of various function are realized by use of upward movement of handspike. The return of handspike is accomplished by negative load in a given returned temperature.

2. Characteristic

(1)Small body size, occupied limited space, and its size and structure may be designed in according to the location where needs to work.

(2)Temperature control is reliable and nicety

(3)No shaking and tranquilization in working condition.

(4)The element doesn’t need special maintenance.

(5)Working life is long.

3.Main Technical Parameters

(1)Handspike’s height may be confirmed by drawing and technical parameters

(2)Handspike movement is relatives to the temperature range of the element, and the effective distance range is from 1.5mm to 20 mm.

(3)Temperature control range of thermal wax actuator is between –20 ~ 230℃.

(4)Lag phenomenon is generally 1 ~ 2℃. Friction of each component part and lag of the component part temperature cause a lag phenomenon. Because there is a difference between up and down curve of traveling distance.

(5)Loading force of thermal wax actuator is difference, it depends on its’ shell size.

  • My 2013 Nissan Versa has had a heat shield come loose and rattle three different occasions. The first two were covered by warranty and both occurred during the first year of me owning it. My warranty was up during that first year, and it has held until about a month ago. The guy at the dealership told me it was between the engine and the transmission. I never worried about it, as it was under warranty at the time. However the heat shield that was doing the rattling was actually about the exhaust pipe on the passenger side of the car towards the rear. It takes a 10mm socket to tighten/loosen the bolts. The heat shield actually broke off from the part that the bolt attached to, so I just loosened the bolt and tucked that part under the second part of the heat shield. I’m sure it’ll come out again, but atleast this’ll stop that annoying rattle. I hope this video may help someone else who has had this problem. Thanks for watching!

Part 1 of 3: In this video I’ll show you how to convert the older XJ Jeep Cherokee closed style cooling system to the newer open style cooling system. I believe Jeep made the switch in late 1991 so If you have a later model Jeep Cherokee this upgrade doesn’t apply to you. This is quite extensive and I’ll cover it in three videos. First we’ll take out the old radiator and and coolant bottle along with the hoses, thermostat housing and replace it with a new radiator with a cap, a new open style coolant bottle, and some new hoses and new thermostat housing. I’ll also show you 3 ways you can hook up your auxiliary fan to still work with the new cooling system. By the time were done you will have an entirely new and updated cooling system and hopefully keep your XJ running cool.

***UPDATE 05/25/2013 – It appears they now make a radiator that has a radiator cap and the hole for the older XJ stock temp sensor. So if you are buying a new radiator then you might want to get this one and you wont have to fool with the wiring mess I dealt with in the 3rd video. It is made by Spectra and the Part # is: cu1193. If anyone knows of other radiators that fit please let me know in the comments. UPDATE****
