1. Operation Principle

When melting floral waxes, we highly recommend using a double boiler or a microwave at very low temperature. We do not recommend placing the wax in a pan under direct heat as this may cause the wax to scorch. To use in solid perfume or lip balm, we recommend melting the amount of floral wax required and adding a small amount of jojoba (or oil of choice) and mix well. Pour into containers. For creams & lotions add to the oil phase of your recipe.

The BioReactor rotates continuously at about 5 to 10 rph, and is driven by a variable speed drive unit using a surprisingly low hp motor. The size of motor depends on the size of the vessel but ranges from 5 to 40 hp. The XACT System BioReactor is designed to be a long-term solution, and although it is a simple design, it is built to heavy-duty standards in order to withstand the rigors of turning tons and tons of material 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

Site Layout
This 3-vessel system shows a feed stock prep building with a grinder and a mixer, and a 5-bay compost storage building. In addition, there is a biofilter installed in the ground along the length of the lower drum which is cleaning the air that is being drawn off by the exhaust system of the vessels. One of the great advantages of the XACT BioReactor is that as your operation needs increase additional drums can be added easily increasing your capacity with no down time. This is just one of the many possible layouts that could be designed for you!
