1. Operation Principle

Прежде всего, это касается передней части внедорожника, где явственно проступили черты, позаимствованные у современного E-Class. Так, от премиального седана ML 63 AMG унаследовал ромбовидно-округлые фары головного света, которые оснащены ксеноновой оптикой и широкую U-образную решетку радиатора. Ее по горизонтали делят три (а не две, как у предыдущего поколения) хромированных «лезвия» с насечками. Капот автомобиля стал более рельефным, чем у предшественника.
Массивный передний бампер обзавелся широкой трапециевидной центральной секцией воздухозаборника. Крупные боковые секции в виде перевернутых пирамид подчеркнуты сверху полосками светодиодных дневных ходовых огней. В нижней части бампера имеется узкий хромированный спойлер с двумя щелевидными отверстыми по бокам.
При взгляде на профиль автомобиля можно заметить появившиеся на панелях боковых дверей выштамповки, которые придают автомобилю более динамичный вид и улучшают его аэродинамические характеристики.
Также на передних крыльях имеется хромированный шильдик «V8 Biturbo», свидетельствующий о том, какой мотор установлен на этом внедорожнике. Преобразилась конструкция боковых зеркал заднего вида – они стали шире и обзавелись светодиодными повторителями указателей поворота. Оснастили автомобиль и новыми пятилучевыми колесными дисками, которые, в отличие от таковых у предыдущего поколения имеют отверстия в «лучах». Конструкция боковых окон багажного отделения тоже не претерпела изменения – они имеют форму треугольника и стилистически объединены с окном задней двери.
Корма автомобиля заметно преобразилась. Тут появились новые задние фонари со светодиодной оптикой. Они имеют трапециевидную форму, и своими внутренними концами заходят на багажную дверь. Задний бампер ML 63 AMG имеет схожую конструкцию с передним бампером: тут тоже есть центральная вентиляционная секция в виде трапеции, пирамидальные боковые секции с полосками светодиодных противотуманных фар и хромированный спойлер. Сдвоенные выхлопные трубы у модели – квадратные, тогда как у предыдущего поколения они были круглыми.
Интерьер
Салон третьего поколения ML 63 AMG тоже изобилует новыми дизайнерскими решениями. Преобразилась приборная панель автомобиля: она стала более компактной, видоизменился дизайн тахометра и спидометра, а также размещенных в них датчиков остатка топлива в баке и температуры охлаждающей жидкости (теперь датчик расположены не по центру, а с правой стороны). Ободки «колодцев» основных приборов стали более толстыми, чем у предыдущего поколения.
У четырехспицевого рулевого колеса появился новый обод, со срезанной нижней частью и подрулевыми переключателями скоростей. Спицы теперь отделаны светлым пластиком. Центральная консоль стала V-образной. В верхней ее части расположен сенсорный экран мультимедийной системы, который с двух сторон окружен прямоугольными центральными воздуховодами. Среднюю часть занимает блок кнопок управления мультимедийной системой. В нижней части консоли расположены органы управления климатической системой. На широком центральном туннеле имеется джойстик управления настройками пневматической подвески AMG RIDE CONTROL, а также центральный подлокотник с интегрированным в нем вместительным боксом.
У передних кресел стали чуть шире спинки и сидения но они сохранили по-спортивному выраженную боковую и поясничную поддержку. Сзади, в активных подголовниках передних кресел расположены дополнительные экраны мультимедийной системы. This is the panel you’ll use to set the heater and air conditioner system. Press THIS button to turn the system ON. The indicator light will illuminate and the system will automatically regulate and maintain fan speed, air flow and temperature in the cabin.
Turn THIS dial to set the desired temperature. Turn THIS dial if you wish to set a separate temperature for the passenger’s side. If you wish to return to controlling the temperature with the driver’s control, press the DUAL button.
You can override the settings of the automatic heater and air conditioner system as needed.
For example, you can turn THIS dial to adjust the fan speed up or down.
Press THIS button to change the air flow mode. Your choice is shown on the display. The airflow can be set to the:
● center and side vents,
● center and side vents, and foot outlets,
● mainly from foot outlets, and
● from the defroster and foot outlets.
Press THIS button to recirculate air inside your vehicle. The indicator light will illuminate. This increases A/C efficiency and helps block outside odors from entering the cabin. Press again to draw in fresh outside air. Please be aware that when a DEFROSTER air flow mode is selected, the air recirculation feature will not activate. Allowing outside air to enter the vehicle further improves defogging performance.
Press and hold the intake air control button to set the intake air control to automatic. The indicator light will blink twice.
Press THIS button to manually turn the air conditioner ON or OFF.
In hot or humid conditions, a visible mist may be seen coming from the vents. This does not indicate a malfunction.
You can return to automatic control of the heater and air conditioner system at any time by pressing THIS button.
To defrost or defog front and side windows, press THIS button. The indicator light will illuminate and air flow will be directed to the front and side windows.
The indicator light on the A/C button may also illuminate because the A/C compressor is activated to help dry the air and improve window clearing performance. The air can still be fully warmed with the A/C activated.
If the system is in DUAL mode, switching to DEFROST will automatically revert to driver temperature control so that both sides of the windshield defrost evenly.
Adjust the temperature to a setting that will best meet weather conditions. For windshield deicing, set the temperature to maximum heat. Also, using the manual fan control, set the fan speed to HIGH.
Press THIS button to defrost or defog the rear window and, if so equipped, the outside mirrors. The indicator light will illuminate. Press again to turn OFF. If not turned OFF manually, this function will automatically deactivate in a period of time.
Press THIS button to turn the heater and air conditioner system OFF.
There is a temperature sensor located on top of the dashboard near the windshield that helps regulate the automatic heater and air conditioner settings. Please keep this area clear of papers and other materials.
