1. Operation Principle
The Thermostatic Wax that has been sealed in shell body induces expansion by a given temperature, and inner rubber seal part drives its handspike to move under expansion pressure to realize a transition from thermal energy into mechanical energy. The Thermostatic Wax brings an upward movement to its handspike, and automatic control of various function are realized by use of upward movement of handspike. The return of handspike is accomplished by negative load in a given returned temperature.

In this video I compare my wife’s 2015 M3 with unmodified stock exhaust to my own 2015 BMW M3 with the exhaust mod. The exhaust valve mod involves opening the vales in sport plus mode and then shutting off the car to leave them open. You then disconnect the wiring harness from the valve actuators behind the outward exhaust tips. This prevents the M3 or M4 from closing the valves at all. They’ll be open at all times. This mod will work on the F80 M3, F82 M4, or F83 M4 convertible all the same.
