1. Operation Principle
The Thermostatic Wax that has been sealed in shell body induces expansion by a given temperature, and inner rubber seal part drives its handspike to move under expansion pressure to realize a transition from thermal energy into mechanical energy. The Thermostatic Wax brings an upward movement to its handspike, and automatic control of various function are realized by use of upward movement of handspike. The return of handspike is accomplished by negative load in a given returned temperature.

Replacing the coolant tank is pretty important because as the car ages the plastic becomes brittle and weak and it more likely to burst at the most inconvenient moment. there was also one hose I replaced while I had the tank off just because it would be a bitch to change afterwards without repeating the whole process.
the steps are remove the upper hose, there is a lower hose, drain radiator, there is a clip on the bottom you need to push down and slide out. once that is all done you need to pull the tank straight up and out. and that’s pretty much it
