1. Operation Principle
The Thermostatic Wax that has been sealed in shell body induces expansion by a given temperature, and inner rubber seal part drives its handspike to move under expansion pressure to realize a transition from thermal energy into mechanical energy. The Thermostatic Wax brings an upward movement to its handspike, and automatic control of various function are realized by use of upward movement of handspike. My wife is an amputee (BKA); she could not reach the kickstand. I installed an automatic Linear Actuator, just push the rocker switch & it is a nice smooth transition. It works perfectly! I also made modifications to the shift lever by adding a heel lever which gives it a heel/toe configuration, she could not pull up the toe lever without it rolling off the end of her boot, I also fabricated the heel support that I attached to her riding peg so her prosthetic foot would not slip off the peg. For esthetic purposes I added the same heel support on the right riding peg to balance the appearance of her motorcycle. It all came together perfectly!!
